In order to generate the ultra-thin layers of stone that make up Stone-Veneer, raw materials from slate, quartzite, sandstone, and marble slabs that have already been mined had to be chemically extracted. A robust, yet flexible sheet of stone is created by bonding this thin layer to a fibreglass backing using controlled pressure and heat. Stone-Veneer can be installed over almost any solid surface, such as wood, drywall, metal, concrete, plywood, MDF, backer board, fibreglass, tile, cabinets, painted surfaces, and many more.
